La Mirande Hotel Avignon, Avignon

Staying at the old Waldorf Astoria was an incredible experience with very nice rooms and a very spacious bathroom. The service was unfailingly polite and incredibly responsive, making our stay hassle-free. The location, while feeling a bit tired, was beautiful and conveniently located next to the Palace of the Popes. The dining experience was unforgettable, with delicious and varied dishes.

The hotel provided a delightful stay in an ancient city with individually decorated rooms in different French styles. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The location was ideal for exploring Avignon and the surrounding area, although access could be tricky. The dining experience, while beautiful, could be enhanced to match the hotel's level. Overall, a first-class establishment more focused on elegance than profit.
