Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the old Waldorf Astoria was an incredible experience with very nice rooms and a very spacious bathroom. The service was unfailingly polite and incredibly responsive, making our stay hassle-free. The location, while feeling a bit tired, was beautiful and conveniently located next to the Palace of the Popes. The dining experience was unforgettable, with delicious and varied dishes.
The hotel provided a delightful stay in an ancient city with individually decorated rooms in different French styles. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The location was ideal for exploring Avignon and the surrounding area, although access could be tricky. The dining experience, while beautiful, could be enhanced to match the hotel's level. Overall, a first-class establishment more focused on elegance than profit.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were incredibly comfortable and charming, offering a perfect blend of modern convenience within the character of ancient buildings. The service was outstanding, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The location was simply breathtaking, right behind the papal palace and within walking distance of all the attractions. The dining experience was a bit underwhelming, not matching the level of the hotel, but the overall value for money was excellent.
